Nursery

The Light of the World Community Nursery is Ofsted registered to care for 40 children aged 0 to 5 years old.

The Nursery and After School/Holiday care clubs were graded GOOD at our last inspection in January 2016.

The After school and holiday care is also Ofsted registered, and provides after school and holiday care for 32 children aged 5 to 13 years.

We have a well resoused Baby nursery that caters for infants aged 0 to 2 years old.

The Pre-School nursery caters for 28 children aged 2 to 5 years old.

We accept children with disabilities and special needs, and have a team of qualified and experienced staff to care for the children.

The Nurseries are open from 7.30 am to 5.30 pm daily except Bank Holidays.

We operate an equal opportunities service that is open to all cultures, and we ensure that the planned activities are varied, and considers the individual needs of the child/ren in our care.

What is unique and good aboutthis nursery?

The staff are experienced in caring for the individual and collective needs of children, irrespective of their age, race, religion.

Our abil;ity to nurture children with behaviour issues, complex health needs - by developing specific individual support plans to enable the child to develop to their full potential.

Meals

The children receive:

• Their breakfast consisting of a variety of cereals, toast, eggs, beans, porridge.
• Lunch consisting of a nutritious 2-course meal and juices.
• Afternoon snacks with fresh fruit and milk/water.
• We also provide vegetarian and Halal meals and snacks.

Activities

• The children's activities are planned and take into account the children's personal, social, emotional and developmental needs.
• Activities are generally based on the children`s interests.
• There is a well equipped outdoor play area with an all weather canopy that promotes continuous outdoor play opportunities.

• Children aged 2 are entitled to the free 2 year old funding.
• Children aged 3-4 are entitled to the Free Nursery Education funding for 38 weeks of the year.
